Privatization

Privatization of public goods and services has touched everything from schools and libraries to parks and parking meters. It is fueled by a drive for corporate profits, aided by the mythology that government is less efficient than the private sector, and rooted in efforts to exclude—whether by race or by class or by other divisions.
