Infrastructure
The infrastructure that connects us together—highways, bridges, water and
sewer systems, public buildings, electrification, high speed internet— cannot be built without public investment and coordination across vast and complicated systems. Because we understand infrastructure should be created and maintained for the public good, not corporate profit, we take a close look at how infrastructure is built, financed and managed. In the Public Interest studies procurement practices and public contracts, including public/private partnerships, to understand and evaluate deals to ensure public interests are served and that people, not corporations, maintain control over these public assets.
